Former (in)famous mayor of Tallinn and the minister of finance of Estonia, Tõnis Palts has announced his resignation from Tallinn City Council to head "large investement projects outside Estonia".
Tõnis Palts entered politics after succesful sale of his local mobile network company to Tele2. He was often criticised for trying to lead public sector as if it was his personal firm. It will now be interesting to see how successful will be his return to business.
