Ironies of current capitalism

It has been more than a month since my last post. Happy new year to everybody.

Couple of years ago Swedish management gurus Riddersrale and Nordström stated that Marx has returned in an unexpected way. Firstly, that it is the employees who nowadays own the most productive asset of almost any industry - brains. Secondly, the employees also are (through pension funds) large shareholders of world's largest companies.

Now Brad Setser talks about other ironies of current world in his blog. Like that the American economy is run by money from Chinese communists, who also happen to be world's largest real-estate speculators. Some thought-provoking reading.
